Who We Are
A Christ-centered community of hope
First Oceanside Apostolic Church is a warm and lively community gathered around a simple conviction: that a real walk with God changes everything.
We meet in the old church at Heritage Park in Qualicum Beach. On any given Sunday you will find people from every season of life. Some who have followed Jesus for decades, and some who are stepping into a church for the very first time.
We believe the restlessness and malaise so many people carry, that sense that something is missing, points to a longing only God can fill. As we walk with Him together, we find the meaning, connection, and wholeness we were made for.
You don't need to have your life figured out to belong here. Come as you are, bring your questions, and discover a family ready to walk with you.
What we believe
One God
We believe in one God who has revealed Himself as Father, in his Son Jesus Christ, and through the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the One God manifested in and through an authentic human life. This is what makes Jesus so special. He has experienced the same life we have, including its struggles and temptatitions. And yet, he still loves us, enough to die for our sins so we could walk with him forever.
The Bible
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God and our guide for faith and life. Everything we need to know about life is found inside of its pages. Why? Because it is the word of God, our creator.
New Birth
We believe the gospel calls everyone to repentance, to faith, and a new life found in Jesus Christ. This eternal walk with God starts when we are filled with his spirit, and we are born again to a new life of meaning and purpose.
A Spirit-filled Life
We believe God meets ordinary people who are looking for him and fills them with his Spirit for a life of meaning and wholeness.
